NBA Summer League action has truly begun in earnest, with teams converging on Las Vegas for the annual battle of (mostly) rookies and second-year players.
While Bronny James' early exploits have largely stolen the summer show, the top three picks in the draft were all in action as games began in Vegas Friday night.
First up was No. 3 overall pick Reed Sheppard. He shined for the Houston Rockets against the Los Angeles Lakers, finishing with 23 points on 9-for-17 shooting, including a 4-for-6 mark on 3-pointers.
Top pick Zaccharie Risacher and No. 2 pick Alex Sarr squared off against each other later Friday in the Atlanta Hawks-Washington Wizards game.
